Aditya Srivastava topped in UPSC -animesh pradhan got second place, donuru ananya reddy got third place


-180 IAS, 200 candidates selected for IPS
New Delhi. UPSC Civil Services 2023 results have been declared. 1,016 candidates have passed the Civil Services Examination 2023. Aditya Srivastava has topped the Civil Services Examination 2023. Whereas, Animesh Pradhan and Donuru Ananya Reddy have got second and third position respectively.
A total of 180 candidates have been selected for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in these UPSC examinations. At the same time, 200 candidates have been selected for Indian Police Service i.e. IPS. 37 candidates have been selected for the Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Through these examinations, 613 candidates have been selected on various Grade A posts of the Central Government. 113 candidates have been selected for Grade B post.
A total of more than 2,800 candidates appeared in the interview.
UPSC said that this year the interview of the examination was concluded on 9 April 2024. Interviews for IAS started on 4 January and continued till 9 April. According to UPSC, a total of more than 2,800 candidates appeared in the interviews conducted in different stages. After this entire process, the names and roll numbers of the candidates selected on Civil Services (IAS, IFS, IPS and other central posts) have been released according to their rank.
The examination was held to fill vacancies on 1,105 posts.
UPSC had conducted the examination this year to fill vacancies on 1,105 posts of Group A and Group B in IAS, IFS, IPS and other central services. UPSC Civil Services Prelims exam was held on 28 May last year. The candidates who were successful in Prelims appeared in the next round of examination. The second round of examinations was conducted by UPSC in two shifts on 15, 16, 17, 23 and 24 September 2023.
UPSC said that a total of 1,016 candidates passed the examination and have been recommended for various services of the central government. UPSC conducts Civil Services Examination every year in three stages i.e. Preliminary, Main and Interview to select officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS).
